Individual Therapy

My approach is relational and psychodynamic. This means that, you will find me reflective as well as interactive. In our work together, you can anticipate that I will be responsive and engaged. As we consider problems of the here-and-now, we may also get curious about aspects of your history.  My approach is to develop a conversation with you, consider ideas and you can tell me what resonates so that together, we may come to a deeper understanding. My experience has led me to believe that this type of work, one that openly considers the various influences that inform who we are, can lead to meaningful change.

If you are interested in my services, feel free to contact me to discuss the ways in which we may work together.

Consultation

I provide clinical consultation for therapists and therapists-in-training who are interested in developing a deeper understanding of psychodynamic therapy. I offer these services both through my individual practice and in conjunction with my colleague, Ali Kimmell, LCSW. More about our work together can be found here. My belief is that the way identities are held, responded to and reflected in the cultural surround is an impactful and meaningful relationship that informs psychological development and interpersonal realities. It is my belief that this trifecta of considerations: socio-cultural awareness, emotional histories and psychological development, provides a lens with which to provide effective treatment.
